A Sitemap for website or blogger tells , complete URLs like all posts, all pages, archives and more links to connect information. For any Search engines like Google, yahoo, bing and more easy to find web pages , and crawl pages in index list.
To set sitemap for normal website have number of free generation tools available online. But for Blogger websites has one free default tool (link) available.
A Sitemap gives Complete index of website Content, and provides search index preferences. So easy to access all search engines.
Set Default Blogger Sitemap
Normal website uses .xml file (for example www.sitename.com/sitemap.xml). But blogger websites uses onlye .html files, So following 2 were default set .xml file.
- www.blogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
- www.blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?=rss&start-index=1&max-results=500
In above two lines change red color blogname to your blogname.
For example :
www.bestvwant.org/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
Free Submit Sitemap to Google Search Engine
Most of traffic to your website or blogger comes to google search engine. So you submit Your Sitemap to google webmaster.
Steps to follow
Step 1: First Login to Google Search Console
Step 2: In Google Search Console location Dashboard click on SiteMaps tab
Step 3: Now submit atom.xml (see above default code).
Similar ways to submit sitemap to yahoo, bing and more search engine with atom.xml file.
Step 2: Now Select New Page button from left menu.
How to Separate Create sitemap.html file to blogger site
Normal website page like site sitemap.xml is convert to sitemap.html file creation in blogger websites.
For example http://www.bestvwant.org/p/sitemap.html
For these we follow following steps.
Step 1: In Blogger Dashboard section choose Pages
Step 3: Now Select HTML View option
Next do follow
Step 4: Now enter or copy and paste following code into that editor.
